Gateron Ink Black V2

Manufacturer: Gateron
Brand: Gateron

Black Inks are a well loved linear switch in community. Smooth from stock due to the custom housing material and coated spring but especially smooth with a great sound after lubing.

Note. The first version of Gateron Black Ink switches had minor issues with the leafs being loose and prone to falling out when dismantled. As of November 2019 that issue has been resolved.

There are 2 variations of this switch:

Factory lubed? Slight factory lube
Notes

Gateron Ink Black respond particularly well to being lubricated. Krytox 205 Grade 0 is a great choice for an extra smooth feeling switch.

Switch film

Yes, this switch in particular is vastly improved when switch films are used.
Notes

Switchandclick.com – We used a thinner switch film from the Kebo Store and found that it allowed the switch to rest more firmly in the plate and reduce the overall wobble of the Gateron Ink Black switches.

Why use switch film? Here's a good explanation and a great demonstration.
