Gateron Cap Yellow

Manufacturer: Gateron
Brand: Gateron

Newly designed switch with enlarged and hollowed stem construction, claiming to make the stem more stable with reduced stem wobble. The bottom housing also has a small hole in the bottom where the stem pole bottoms out which is claimed to reduce resistance.

Available in 2 versions - Milky Yellow/Golden Yellow and come in packs of 35 with a handy polycarbonate switch holder/tester.

The main difference between the 2 versions are colour and spring. Material is the same.

Gateron switch code: KS-25

At some point in 2021 Gateron released a V2 using a new mold for less noticeable stem wobble as well as incorporating a new factory lubing technique for better results. It seems that the V2 switches don't include an acrylic case.

Notes

Pretty smooth as standard with the factory lube but they really shine when hand lubed with Krytox 205g0 or similar.

Stem construction

Stem icon
Cap
The stem on this switch is of the cap variety eg. Gateron Cap with an enlarged, hollowed, longer inner pole. Here's a great article on the keychron website with more information.
Long pole
The stem on this switch longer than usual and hits the bottom housing eg. Halo/Holy Panda.
