Quite uncommon amongst switches, they have UHMWPE housings which makes for a fantastically smooth switch, only enhanced further with films and lubrication. It is not stated what percentage of this switch is UHMWPE, but it is not pure PE.
The first revision of these switches were made by Gateron not C³Equalz and not orange in colour. These Gateron made variants are no longer sold and hard to find in the aftermarket.
This switch is most commonly purchased through TKC's site, and are sold in packs of 25 for $16.25 each. They restock every couple of months, and sell out quick.
Stats and figures are one thing but here are some quotes, thoughts and opinions we've been able to find from across the web regarding these switches.
Are they fantastic? Absolutely. Do they feel amazing? Absolutely. Do I have any doubts that they will sell well enough to run a V3 of them? None – These are a smash hit.
Overall these are the best linear switches I have ever used in terms of feel and sound especially for the price. Smooth. Just REALLY smooth.
This switch has a volume similar to that of a standard JWK, but is noticeably higher pitched due to the UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyurethane, sometimes referred to as simply PE) blend in the housing.
Lubed from the factory with a lube that was stated to be exclusive to C3 switches. This gives it the potential to be extremely smooth stock, but batches can vary. Was stated to be similar to Krytox 204.
All films work on this switch.
